The Last Meditation

A drawing inspired by one of my favorite novels, The Outlaws of the Marsh. This character, Sagacious Lu, lived his life as a brute and died as an enlightened monk. I dug the turn around...especially considering the guy used to get hammered in temples then deliver knuckle-sandwiches to monks who were otherwise vegetarian. Definitely a favorite character of mine.
